LEGACY:
An Advanced Portfolio Workshop
with Annie Appel

The rich combination of her broad, interdisciplinary
photographic experience and her insightful, supportive
guidance serves to inspire students in her ongoing Legacy
workshop to express their inner vision and, thus, to share
that vision with the world.

A million beautiful photographs stored on your
computer...snapshot after snapshot in folder after folder.
"How talented you are," say friends and family. Now what
to do with all those pictures?
This workshop is for students looking to deepen their
understanding of photography as a creative language, to
articulate their unique use of it, and to broaden their
conception of the creative process as a whole.
Legacy is a workshop designed to open the floodgates of
inspiration through guided exercises and photo critiques,
including Photoshop techniques for image enhancement.
By the end of the course, each student will have designed
and assembled a coffee-table sized book of their original
work. Likewise, as a group, we will curate an exhibition of
our work to be installed in a local gallery.

Legacy: An Advanced Portfolio Workshop will meet on the
first Monday of every month from 7-9pm.
Our final class takes place at Gallery 381, in San Pedro, at
the opening of our show (produced for friends, family, and
for the public at large). 100% of all sales of prints and
artists' books goes directly to the artists.

Workshop fee is $450
class size is limited to 12 students
